The #1 reason I love my husband: He loves the Lord . My first birthday that I celebrated with him (we were dating), he gave me a beautiful gold and diamond cross necklace. He told me that most people thought a heart was a symbol of love, but he thought that the cross was the ultimate symbol of love because Christ died and rose so that we could have eternal life. And because God had brought us together. Well, if I wasn't all the way in love with him at that point (which I was), I sure was after all of that! We have had so many ups and downs in our almost 9 years of marriage, but the one thing that has never changed or faltered is our love for and commitment to Jesus. We have vowed to leave a Christ inspired legacy for our children and for the generations that will come from these two hearts that God has placed together. ~Paige (AKA Mrs. Cole Barnes) :)

Reason #2 that I love my husband: He's just as smart as Bill Gates, but way more handsome! ~Paige

Reason #3 that I love my husband: He values my opinion about things.

Reason #4 that I love my husband: He is like the James Bond of the computer world. Hot. :)

Reason #5 that I love my husband: He takes care of my car. Very manly, yes indeed. ~Paige

Reason # 6 that I love my husband: He is our son's Cub Scout Cub Master . We women do like a man in uniform! :) ~Paige

Reason # 7 that I love my husband: He knows almost everything there is to know about computers and he teaches me things about them. ~Paige

Reason #8 that I love my husband: He brings me chocolate and Sun Drops! ~Paige

Reason #9 that I love my husband: He can handle things. You know most guys can't handle all the "mom" stuff that we do. I work weekend nights and hubs has the kids all by himself. He's doing a fabulous job! In fact, this weekend he will be taking Big Red to two birthday parties and take care of a sick newborn. Fatherhood looks really good on him and there is no one I trust more with my babies than their wonderful daddy. ~Paige

Reason #10 that I love my husband: He is my hero. Like today when our neighbor's house was broken into and the police were searching our yard for evidence and such. The hubs came home because I was worried and afraid. Felt so much safer the moment he walked in the door. ~Paige

Reason #11 that I love my husband: He cleans things when he thinks I am mad at him. It never fails. If he thinks I am mad/upset at him, he will start cleaning. It's actually kind of funny because the kitchen gets really clean! Sometimes I wish he'd just ask me what's wrong, but hey, a woman can't complain when her husband starts cleaning! :) ~Paige

Reason #12 that I love my husband: He gave me a Bible. It wasn't my first Bible, but it's the most special one I've ever had. When we were dating I mentioned that I wanted a specific Bible and I'd like to have my name embossed on it. So for Christmas the year before we were married he gave me this very Bible. We had talked about it so briefly that I had no idea he'd even noted the details. The Bible had my soon to be married name embossed on it and this was written on the inside cover: "God has blessed me so much in my life; with fun and excitement, joy and happiness, peace and love. Never in my wildest dreams could I ever be able to comprehend all those things rolled up so perfectly; but I don't have to dream because you're right here. The love of my life, my best friend, my wife. I love you so much, Paige, and as long as this book is the center of our relationship, that love can never fade and will only grow stronger. Reason #13 that I love my husband: He always listens. And I talk a lot. And have given birth to at least one child who talks a lot. (The other one can't talk yet). So we are talking a lot of listening. I'm convinced that he starts to tune me out at some point, but he always knows what I've said. ~Paige

Reason #14 that I love my husband: He's the only other person in the world who knows I have a freckle on my left eyelid. And he thinks it's cute. ~Paige

Reason #15 that I love my husband: He tells me everything will be ok and I believe him. Like when our apartment building was destroyed in a fire when our son was 3 months old. I didn't know where we would go or what we would do. We were so young and didn't live near family and my husband was still in college. But he said it would be ok, and God showed up. And when our son was diagnosed with diabetes. And when I was put on bed rest at 30 weeks with my second pregnancy and then our daughter came early and had to be in the NICU for over a week. But through it all he assured me that everything would be ok. And it has been. ~Paige

I have missed several days, so I am going to post a few reasons today to catch up! Reason #16 that I love my husband: He believes in me. So many times I second guess myself about everything. I tend to be a bit of a perfectionist. I want people to like me. I want to do everything I do right and good. I have struggled with this for a long time, and I am always my own worst critic. But my sweet husband always encourages me and tells me how much he believes in me. Just knowing that he does means so much. ~Paige

Reason #17 that I love my husband: When I met him, I felt like I was finally home. Please forgive a day or two between posts. I am trying to post everyday, but having a new baby doesn't allow me to do everything I want these days. Reason #18 that I love my husband: Some of the things he does. Like he went and bought me feminine products when we were on a trip once. Keep in mind this was before we were married. We were engaged at least! He commented that in that particular country town in Alabama that probably made us legally married! :) Like the fact that today he is going to buy special formula and gas drops because I can't get out with the baby and she's not tolerating her formula well. Like the fact that he could hold his own with a Diabetic Educator on such topics as insulin pumps, carb counting, and diabetic foot care. Like the fact that he is learning infant CPR because we have a new baby who was sick when she was first born. Like the fact that he hates needles, but can give an insulin shot or implant the new insulin port without flinching. (Although he, we both, hate having to do that). Reason #19 that I love my husband: He's content. "I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. " - Philippians 4:12 This so describes my husband. As long as he had me and the kids. He'd be ok. Like live in a box in the street ok. I so want to be more like that. ~Paige

Reason #20 that I love my husband: He is my best friend. When we are together, all is right with the world. He is my best friend. I can't imagine a day without him. Thank goodness for instant messaging. It makes me feel close to him all day, even though he is at work. I watch British comedy shows just so I can be with him. I always let him have the cherries in my cherry coke with extra cherry from Sonic (even though I really like them) because he likes them. I would let him have my last Sun Drop... ~Paige
