Well, today was our first day of homeschooling. I must say that it actually went quite well. The son was amused that he "got to do school in his underwear" (he was wearing a t-shirt, too!). We worked on our list of 7 spelling words and he practiced writing them. He did a good job. We've got to work on certain letters and the way he writes them, but those are only a few. He does a pretty good job. Hopefully by the end of the week he'll know how to spell these words that we worked on today. We learned a scripture verse - 1 Samuel 16:7. We did some language work in his language book and then for reading he picked a book to read to me. We were able to do that laying on our bellies in the floor. The fun of homeschooling!
Then we went to the church for awhile. I will be there for another month and I still have responsibilities and work that must be completed in order to ease the transition and allow things to go as smoothly as possible. We played and we sang and we even did our fingerprints and learned how God made each of us different and special (science).
We came home and chilled out for awhile (well, i did some cooking and laundry) and then we had family dinner around the table. Nice. Now the hubbs is working with our son on math - telling time and working on shapes and numbers.
Today was great! I am encouraged and pleased and so thankful for my hard-working hubby who will now be the only one paying our bills. Life at home is good. I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings!

I am so glad we are becoming blog friends! Can't wait to get to know you more! Have a great day!
My husband went to Mid-America, MABTS. it is a baptist seminary, not very well known, but it was the right one for us at the time. We learned alot about what we do now overseas. I know someone who went to MTS.
I am praying for you about the church situation and the homeschooling. I am so glad that you are walking in faith and not fear. I look forward to reading more!
